I had never read this script or the book before-- I liked it a lot. As with other Christie works, I was slightly unconvinced by the ending reveal, but I was enthralled while reading and interested in the characters and their fates. I can see the arena stage being a boon to this staging with all of the entrances and exits. Some of the dialogue and character descriptions were clearly outdated, I will say.
From Howard: "Mousetrap" is the most classic Christie. I believe it is the longest continuously running show in the world (there was a COVID break). Audiences love it. It is a definite yes from me.
We haven't done this one since 2006, so definitely overdue for a repeat. One of the most popular Agatha Christie plays. Got a big boost when the movie "See How They Run" came out last year. A very clever take on The Mousetrap. So a big Yes from me.
I like this play much more than any of the Christie plays we've read this year or last year. I can tell why it's been produced so much. It feels like it is meant for the stage, and not just an adaptation. It's entertaining. And it's nice to have a Christie play that focuses more on middle-class characters than upper-class characters. The ending is kinda weird after the climax, but I still like it.
I like it as well. I saw the 2006 production at TRP and enjoyed it. 18 years is enough of a gap. Having 10 to original Christie’s the past two years, I think it would be nice to revisit a well loved Classic like this.

Well, I just did this play last year so I'm a little biased. I Love it and it is crowd favorite. It will sell out.

This show is always going to be a yes for me, but should we consider that it's in Guthrie's current season?
