And I said in the meeting - I think that’s a strong contender. It’s political without being overly political and could be hysterical with the right Director. I like that it’s written by someone outside of Europe.
I loved every bit of its absurdity! It could easily be done in the round with just a few sets. There were some lengthy monologues that some people have issue with. This can also be done as a staged reading or an online performance. Yes for me.
Interesting, absurd script. It feels dated to me. It doesn't strike me as a good fit for this season. No for me.
Surprisingly, it is funny. Questionable if too long to possibly be done without intermission. Pro-freedom, anti-totalitarian is never out-of-date. Although it takes place in Czechoslovakia, it could easily be set in Minnesota in the year 2020. It can be done in the round, characters are not of a specific race, provides material for audience discussion.
My vote is Yes.
