So Good! I think that there are lots of issues with how the play would work in the arena (locations and talks around tables), but I would love for us to take it on. That being said - I don’t think it is a good choice for the current Phase 2 that we have been challenged with. I would love to see this as a candidate (Hardy har har har) for the 2022-23 season.
I don't think it's a good fit for this season either. I had several issues. There were too many sets (although a good director could probably simplify them to work.) I don't think I'm a prude, but the language was pretty foul - especially in the beginning of the play. It would appeal to a younger audience more than our regular patrons. I know we need to go more in that direction, but not with this one. Maybe I'm just too tired of politics right now. No for me.
I like the script. I agree that it is not a great fit for this season. I would like to keep it on the blog, especially for an election year.
Dialogue sounds like real people talking. If the goal of the play is to be demeaning and insulting, goal achieved. My vote is No.
