I like Foote’s writing, but this is a family drama not a comedy. I read it as a lighter version of August: Osage County.

Two of the three AA characters are underutilized as well as one of the female roles that only shows up for the last five minutes of the play.

There is a slight scenic challenge with large dining room table scene which are always difficult, but I think it’s workable.

This is stronger than many of these shows I’ve seen in the arena, and could be a contender depending on the other plays in the mix.

I liked this play. The fast-paced dialogue reminded me a little of "Mama's Family". Diverse memorable characters although stereotypical. I am a bit concerned about serving the meal, but it is doable. It's dated, but that isn't a problem. Yes for me.

I found it boring. My vote is No.

It doesn't excite me. I have no desire to sit through it. Having read Vera Stark, I think I would be thinking of how the actors feel playing these roles. No for me.
