I thought this was fun. I'd love to see what someone like Lynn could do with it.

To me, it felt like a cross between "Sound of Music" and Nazis from "Hogan's Heroes". It could be a funny production, but personally I feel uncomfortable with comedies dealing with Nazis. No for me.
I don't the Nazi thing either. And I wasn't wild about the dialogue. The author says it shouldn't be played "camp" and make the characters ridiculous, but I find that difficult to imagine. No for me.
Reading the intro and also watching interviews on line with the playwright gives the impression that the intended concept of this play is that some roles are played in drag and that is what generates much of the comedy. But I agree with others that Natzi uniforms on the TRP stage, especially in a comedy, may not be the image we want to present. And in this age of social media, where actors post photos of themselves in said costumes, this connection will linger in cyberspace forever. It’s a no for me.
It became a note for me and an offensive one.

Despite the playwright's note, it is too easy for this play to be done comically.
My vote is no.
I have been in a Busch play and yes it is meant for people in drag. I don’t think we could pull it off by not doing that, but if all of the roles were reversed with women played by men and men played by women, it might be interesting in the current environment. That being said I haven’t read the script, but I don’t know if Nazis are a thing to deal with right now. If we’re interested in exploring this option I would recommend his “psycho beach party” - it is a send up to the Gidget movies and could be a fun “Summer Romp”
