I thought this was good. Characters were well developed. It had enough humor in it to keep it interesting. The Irish brogue is always an issue if it's not authentic. Yes for me.
I vote no. I would rather see us do "Dancing at Lughnasa" again or another one of his plays. This piece attempts to make several statements and ends up making none. The dramatic action and characters arcs did not work for me either. In fact, I went back and looked at page numbers because I thought, "I must be missing pages." I wasn't.
I thought this would lend itself to the arena. Single set. Margaret is an interesting character, stuck in the middle and unable to commit. Good old fashioned racism and imperialism.

I think we could do it and there are roles that may appeal to actors, but as an audience member, it doesn't interest me. No.
I love Brian Friel’s writing and this play is lovely and lyrical. The characters are rich and believable, the storyline is intriguing. With Joe Dowling gone from the Guthrie, so is the richness of Irish drama. I would love to see this done and I believe TRP could pull it off with the right director. It’s a yes for me.
Found this boring. My vote is no.
