A very solid and enjoyable play. The characters are very interesting and lovable. I vote yes. I imagine the ending will be very moving. Of course, it has the same problem as "Drawer Boy" small cast and not a very well known show, but again I really, really liked it.

"for art is nothing if it does not make you feel". Unfortunately, this one did not. The last scene was, maybe, the most promising, but the rest was 4 people talking about being old. I was too depressed by the time I got to that last scene. It is a no for me.

I really liked it. Very intellectual and funny. I found myself giggling out loud a few times. Yes for me.

I also liked the play. I do have a concern, based on the run of Mornings at Seven, that a play about older people in a nursing home may be a difficult sell.

Keep it in the mix.

I enjoyed it. I think the recent movie is a plus in selling this. A strong yes. Much better than the mediocre movie.

I too liked this one. It was easy going not a frantic farce, one set, roles for older actors.

My concerns - will the audience be bored with a lack of action, is it a known title, and if the movie isn't good potential ticket buyers may find that a drawback.

Really need to consider if this will sell.

My vote is yes after I'm convinced it will sell.

I didn't even finish reading it, yet LET'S DO IT! An ideal holiday show. (I did see the movie, so I know how it comes out.)
Sweet and technically simple, it offers not only grace and style to people my age but also good life lessons.(Sure, we're turning ourselves inside-out to attract twenty-somethings, but let's not forget that our freight is still paid by those a few decades more mature, and let's give them a wink of the eye.)
In my life, I don't have anything as glorious as the Rigoletto quartet to look back on, but we all have our stuff, don't we? Tears? Pointless. Life goes on.
Over this one, I'm jumping up and down.

And just for fun: reading this helped me realize I didn't have "Rigoletto" in my music library. With Amazon's help. I now fixed that.

I reread the play and liked it as much the second time as the first. It just makes you smile!

Just reread it myself and thoroughly enjoyed it. There is far more to it than four elderly people talking about being old. There is wit and pathos and the audience will connect with these characters. Alas, it may primarily be our Sunday matinee audiences that have the greatest appreciation but the roles are all gems for actors “of a certain age.” I give it a strong yes.

this play is from 1999 and it shows in every way - I couldn't even finish reading it. No.
