I don't doubt that one could find a way to handle the technical details. It could be cast in about three minutes. There's not much of a story and the moralizing seems pretty light weight. I think it's fair assume this would be interpreted as a commentary on the last election, with Ford standing in for Trump, and I'd prefer not to go there. Nothing wrong with the script, I just think people are exhausted by political division at this point.

I love a good history show and always try to go to them at other theaters, so I vote yes. It is a strong and interesting script. The only flaw I see is that we want to ensure we have many juicy roles for women in many other shows.
The car doesn't bother me, but building a FIRE does. And the ages are not in our general ranks.
I think by the time this show would go up, the election nonsense would have died down. I don't think it would be a sellout, but I still say yes. I don't know about the fire thing. I questioned that, too.
I am not overly enthusiastic about the show. There is not much story. I agree about the technical problems. I don't have a strong interest in seeing a fictional play about one of our worst presidents and a bigoted millionaire who wants to be president.
I enjoyed this script very much. I wasn't bothered by the political aspect at all. I think it would play well in the round and the fire issue could easily solved - audiences would not expect a roaring fire center stage at TRP; they would accept a facsimile. Finding a Model T would be another issue, but, again, I think it could be resolved one way or other. The important thing is that the dialogue is highly engaging and very funny. It's a yes for me.
First time we read this I said NO. Reread it. While this time around I did find some laughs, it is still not a good script, the characters are somewhat cartoonish. I am still wondering why Tom is there if he doesn't consider Henry a friend and doesn't like the President. Not a compelling story. Again, my vote is NO.
