Very hilarious. I did it in summer stock many years ago. And we've never done it. Worth a go.

I can't believe we've never done this before. It's a perfect fit for TRP. I'm not sure if we should include it in the same season as another Jeeves play, however.

this is an audience pleasing play and will work in the arena - I agree that I don't think we need this and a Jeeves - I can see Charley's Aunt easily being the last show in a season.

No thanks. I couldn't even finish it. It takes way too long to get to the funny. I would pick a Jeeves piece over this.

I think this is a good choice. I would program this before Jeeves. We will not know how this year's Jeeves will have done when we have to come up with a season. If it doesn' t do well, I would have second thoughts about doing another Jeeves next year.

Yes. This old chestnut is funny. Given the fact it is in the public domain a director who wishes can make lots of cuts and rewrite scenes to better fit our audiences. This will need us to find a willing director.

I had heard of it as a classic, but never seen or read it.

I would not bump a Jeeves to do this show. Jeeves has name recognition outside of your grandmother's theater group and isn't as stuffy as this one. The three act structure is a negative, particularly with three major set changes that would probably require two intermissions. But it's a solid comedy and I could certainly see us doing it in a year we don't have Jeeves on the bill.

Agree with Stu, think we should do Jeeves instead. True we won't yet know how this season's Jeeves does, I vote for taking a chance. Jeeves is not widely done. My vote is no for Charley's Aunt.

I have seen numerous productions of this show over the years and always found them amusing, although it usually had more to do with the actors playing the roles than the script itself. I am not a big fan of the play, but neither am I opposed to it. I must agree with the idea of going with another Jeeves instead.

As requested, Dec. 2018, looked at this play again. My vote remains no.
