I liked this a lot. Very urbane and sophisticated and a good who dunnit. And we're running out of Christies.
A yes from me. I did not see the twist coming at all.
I like it. It is somewhat "Christie-esque". It is a who done it with a "victim" everyone has a motive to kill.
It's a Christie, audiences will love it, plain & simple.
Wickedly funny! It is a great choice. It would fill the Christie slot nicely.
Thought the script tried too hard as a take off on murder mystery.
I'll be the no vote.
I think folks are coming to Christie plays based on the authors name, I'm not convinced that, even with "death" in the title this would be an alternative, particularly given that it's not much of a mystery. I think it would be more taking the spot of a Jeeves or a farce.
A breezy, flip comedy like this can be very difficult to pull off. But a single set and could be cast easily, so easily doable in the arena. I'd say keep it on the list, but perhaps for a year in which we are not looking at both a Christie and a Jeeves.
One other concern I had was the frequent reference to other plays. I know that well-read audience members love these Easter eggs, but I'm often concerned that these types of comments are off-putting for some audience members, who feel left out on the joke.
